Starting point

The owner brings many years of experience in drain and pipe cleaning, but the company itself was new, and online it did not exist. In this trade, almost everything is decided on the smartphone: someone with backed-up drains in the basement searches for “drain cleaning Wädenswil” or “emergency pipe cleaning” and calls the first trustworthy number. Without a Google Business Profile and without a website, KanalKlar would have been invisible in exactly that moment. Added to this was the question of area: Wädenswil and the core zone on Lake Zurich had to convey proximity, the service area across the canton of Zurich had to convey reach, without the site looking like an interchangeable service template.

Our approach

We set up the Google Business Profile first: business data, categories, services, opening hours with 24/7 emergency cover and service area, consistent with the data on the website so Google links the two. On top, a static Astro website with a dedicated page for every service: drain cleaning, pipe cleaning, camera inspection, on-call service for property managers and the 24/7 emergency service. The site is built emergency-first throughout: emergency bar at the top, call button in the signal colour, a fixed call bar on smartphones, WhatsApp with a pre-filled message, office number, email and a spam-protected contact form. Add a service-area section with core zone and canton-wide reach, structured data for local search, trust elements and imagery that places the business on Lake Zurich.

The outcome

KanalKlar starts as a new company with the presence of an established business: findable on Google, with a website that explains every service, and a 24/7 on-call and emergency service reachable from every page with one tap, by call, WhatsApp or form.
